Yoga Session : Monday 25 November 2019

Yoga is essentially spiritual discipline based on an extremely subtle Science, which focuses on bringing harmony between mind and body. It is an art and science of healthy living. Yoga is a path towards harmony of body, mind and spirit. The word yoga comes from the Sanskrit word Yuj which means union. Yoga session was organized in Manava Bharati India International School for students on 25th November 2019 under FIT INDIA MOVEMENT a total number of 50 students took part in this session.

The students were informed about the importance of yoga. They were explained that yoga helps in maintaining not only physical and mental health but also a healthy social life. The students were taught various Asanas starting with warm up and stretching followed by the series of Padmasana, Vajrasana, Surya Namaskar , Natrajasana, Pawan Muktasana, Chakrasana, Brahamri and ending with Shavasana.

After various Asana session students were also taught the Pranayama for longevity. The students were addressed to include yoga in their daily routine for its wholesome and salubrious effects on the mind, body and soul.


Fitness and Nutrition: Monday 25 November 2019

Our honorable Prime Minister launched nationwide “Fit India Movement” aimed to encourage people to inculcate physical activity and sport in their daily routine. As a part of this all CBSE schools are celebrating “Fit India School Week” with the objective to develop a healthy lifestyle. The Students and staff of Manava Bharati India International School also contributed to the activity on 25.11.2019 by bringing healthy food items in their Tiffin.

Students of senior classes were asked to bring nutritional chart of the food they brought for this activity. Middle school children were asked to give a short speech on the importance of healthy diet.

Teachers in every class conducted a small session in which they informed the students about the ill effects of junk food and Carbonated drinks and how healthy food can help them in leading a healthy lifestyle. Students actively participated in the activity and surprisingly enjoyed the healthy food items which they usually avoid eating.


Inter- House Debate competition: 26 November 2019

Literary activities like debates and declamations help children to enhance their academic research, creativity, expression and communication skills.

A debate makes students learn the nuances of debating, putting forth their view points confidently and gain un parallel knowledge.

An Inter-house English Debate Competition was held on the occasion of Fit India School Week in Manava Bharati India International School on November 26, 2019. The topic of the debate was ‘Effects of Technology on Health and Mental Fitness’.


A poster making competition was organized for the students of class IX and XI on 27 November 2019 in the school premises of Manava Bharati India International School .

The topic for the poster making was “fit mind fit body and fit environment” .The student showed great enthusiasm and creativity and expressed their ideas in the form of art. It was a great learning experience for the students and the teachers of the school.
