With a view to foster and reinforce the spirit of Communal Harmony National Integration and pride in vibrant, composite culture and nationhood the ‘Quami Ekta Week’ was observed from 19th th 25th November 2018.
On 19th November, National Integration Day was celebrated. The activity conducted for the day was a speech by Ms. Nina Pant, Principal of the school. The principal in her speech during the special assembly conducted for the day emphasized on the importance of secularism and non violence for the peace and security of the people of the country and world over. On 21st of November to celebrate ‘Welfare of Minorities Day’ Ms. Nina Pant, Principal of the school spoke on the items of the 15 point programme. On the same day Linguistic Harmony Day was also observed in which a special literary function was organized by middle school students under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Anantmani Trivedi, Ms. Sonia Muniyal, Ms. Neha Thapa and Ms. Saima.The students presented famous poems written in different languages on the importance of religious and national integration.
The Weaker Sections Day was celebrated on 21 November in which Ms. Charu Kohli spoke on various government programmes for the development of weaker sections, such as conducting rallies, distribution of surplus food, etc.
On Cultural Unity Day, a fancy dress competition was organized for the students of junior wing under the supervision of Ms. Aarti. The theme of the competition was “States of India”. To highlight the importance of women in Indian Society and their role in development of nation building an Inter House street play competition was organized on 24th November to celebrate ‘Women’s Day’. ‘Conservation Day’ was the last on the series of ‘Quami Ekta Week. For observing this day an impact study survey was done by the waste warrior resource person Ms. Ankita Kunwar along with the garbage detective team of the school headed by Ms. Poonam Dhoundiyal on 26th November 2018.
